Tips for using the Hero Hand Truck

When lifting a new water heater position the gas control valve facing forward or to the side so it does not come in direct contact with the lift strap.

For extra safety when lifting a heavy tank such as a 75 gallon, use a tie down strap connected to the two contact points at the top of the tank.

For easy transport in your work vehicle we have two suggestions:
  • To make the hand truck lighter during the loading process, pull the lift plate pin to remove the lift plate and set it aside in your vehicle. If you are transporting the hand truck by laying it down, be sure to insert the lift plate pin into the side rail hole. This will lock lift plate and keep it secure while driving.
  • Always remember to use the 1 inch lashing strap for extra safety. Insert the strap through the slits at the top of the lift plate and make sure that it’s tight before operating the hand truck.
